Linn’s style is so smooth and easy to read that in a way, it’s a bit like dipping into your favourite box of chocolates. You promise yourself just one and before you know it, you’ve eaten the whole box. Similarly, I found myself saying
‘just one more chapter’ and couldn’t resist reading the next and the next until I’d finished. As an open-minded sceptic, I find the subject of Angels both fascinating and mystifying. In this book, a lot of things start to make sense
whilst at the same time making a great story. I loved the characters, felt Ceri’s pain and was shocked at the ending of the third novella. The transition between that and the bonus material jarred a little, simply because it was so unexpected and as
a reader I felt I needed more time to come to terms with what had happened. Without giving away any spoilers though I am so glad the bonus material was there!!
Not only is this a well-written story with great characters and plot, but for
anyone who doesn’t normally read this kind of novel, I can thoroughly recommend it. As someone who has never experienced a psychic episode, this is the next best thing to understanding what happens in the astral plane.
