My Review
There is so much hype around at the moment about thrillers - 'unputdownable', 'gripping', 'a real page turner', 'will keep you up all night' and unfortunately a lot of the impact
of these cliches has been lost. 'Someone is watching' is all of the above and more. It is different and quite disturbing dealing with the subject matter of rape but I was glued to it. The author manages to get inside the 'victim's' head and it is deeply moving.
As you might expect there is a twist which I wasn't really looking for and which caught me by surprise. There are also some light-hearted moments with teenage Jade - her antics are just brilliant and offset the heavy atmosphere perfectly. I really loved this
book and the characters - very well-written!
